Merge[]

I, personally, disagree with the merge. The primary reason behind this is the separation of content (specifically the costumes added in 2014/15 and 2019). These costumes were not part of the DLC, and are available by default. As they are not content from the DLC, there's not a reason to include the information under the article for the DLC. Are the additions of costumes that significant that it warrants an entire article just for that? Because if that's all it is, then you could argue that any game that includes a lightsaber as an easter egg, or a game skin for your character in it deserves a page on this wiki.--Sir Cavalier of OneFarStar(Squadron channel) 16:36, August 28, 2020 (UTC)
While I agree that the costumes alone do not facilitate a unique article, this article encapsulates both the costumes and the DLC by at least a brief explanation. Unless the DLC is being merged into this article a la Star Wars Battlefront II and not the other way around, I see little reason to merge. DFaceG (talk) 16:54, August 28, 2020 (UTC)
I don't think it's worth merging the DLC page into this. We have precedent of paid content such as expansions to Star Wars: The Old Republic and Star Wars Galaxies getting their own pages. Battlefront II's content wasn't paid and was introduced in a series of free updates. This precedent for paid content should be followed through, especially since the DLC page could be even further expanded with information once the pack is released.
I think the most optimal situation would be an "Additional content" section on the DLC page discussing the costumes and The Child's statue. The rest of The Sims 4 has nothing even remotely to do with Star Wars and should be only linked to through Wikipedia. --Dentface (talk) 17:40, August 28, 2020 (UTC)
I would agree with merging this page into the specific DLC page and linking to specific Sims 4 pages through wiki or interwiki links. As stated here, the costumes are really not notable enough to justify and entire page for a game that has nothing to do with Star Wars. I believe this is similar to the Fortnite X Star Wars situation. Page for the specific section of the game with Star Wars content, but not a page about the larger game itself.--Sir Cavalier of OneFarStar(Squadron channel) 21:08, August 28, 2020 (UTC)
Since the base game featured Star Wars content before the GE expansion, seems to me that we should have only this page, so that it may detail both the original costumes/features and also the new DLC. RattsT (talk) 23:02, August 28, 2020 (UTC)
While I understand your position, I think it is more favorable to merge the base game page into the expansion page, as the entire expansion is focused around Star Wars. If the expansion had just SOME Star Wars content, I'd be inclined to agree. However, the expansion in itself is an entirely separately developed product focused specifically on the Star Wars IP, and for that reason, it should have its own page. If we merge in favor of the base game, 90% of the page's content will be from things in the DLC pack, not the other way around. Base Game merging into DLC page is the best way to go, in my opinion. --Dentface (talk) 02:48, August 29, 2020 (UTC)
I must contest the soft-deletion of this page. No consensus was reached. We have Minecraft Star Wars, which exist on the same basis. Second, there's not a lot of non-SW games who features SW content based on a direct partnership with Lucasfilm. NanoLuukeCloning facility 15:50, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
