"What's working for Jabba like, anyway? You never talk about it. I mean, you must see all kinds of interesting things, and interesting people and—"
"I don't really do much of that. Mostly I stand around and look intimidating."
―Sigs and Sion[1]

Sigs was a man who lived on the Outer Rim planet Tatooine with his husband, Sion, and their two children—a daughter and a son. In 4 ABY, he asked Sion for a private showing of the Max Rebo Band as a gift for the upcoming holiday season. However, Sion was killed aboard Jabba's sail barge that year, his last thoughts being of his husband and family.

Biography[]

The man Sigs lived on[1] the Outer Rim planet[2] Tatooine during the Imperial Era. He married[1] the human[3] man Sion—who worked as a security guard for Jabba's criminal empire—and the pair raised two children, a daughter and a son, together in a home. While living there, Sigs became a fan of the Max Rebo Band music group on Tatooine. For several years, Sion did his best to provide for his family and often succeeded at fulfilling his family's gift wishlists during holidays. However, despite Sigs asking Sion about his work for Jabba the Hutt, the latter opted not to tell his husband the undesirable aspects of his job.[1]

Sion-ROTJ

Sigs was married to Sion (pictured), who died fighting Luke Skywalker on the Khetanna.

In 4 ABY,[4] Sigs wished for a private concert of the Max Rebo Band as a present for the upcoming holiday season. Though Sion felt the request was somewhat difficult to achieve, he found his husband's antics charming and resolved to try his best to make him happy.[1] That year,[4] Sion thought about a conversation he and Sigs had shared about the former's work, reflecting on the days he did not return to their family residence due to the fear of the blood on his hands imbuing darkness in their home. Not long after, when[1] Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker[2] killed Sion[1] during the latter's rescue of the smuggler Han Solo on Jabba's Khetanna sail barge,[2] the man's last thoughts were of Sigs and his family.[1]

Personality and traits[]

Sigs and his husband Sion loved each other and their children. Sion regarded his husband as charming and was happy to work a stable job to provide for their family, despite finding Sigs's request for a private concert from the Max Rebo Band somewhat egotistical.[1]

Equipment[]

While on Tatooine, Sigs resided in a residence with his family and was able to acquire most material comforts he wished for, due to Sion's job paying well.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Sigs was mentioned in the short story "Kickback," written by K. Arsenault Rivera and published in the 2023 anthology From a Certain Point of View: Return of the Jedi.[1]
