Scout trooper armor was the standard armor worn by the Imperial scout troopers. Their helmets could also be retracted up while still being worn, allowing the wearer's face to be revealed unlike regular stormtrooper helmets.[5] Under their armor they wore a body glove. Their cummerbund had two pouches which was commonly used for storing survival rations. On the back of their breastplate they had a power unit backpack which could also store extra gear. In their boot was a holster for their EC-17 hold-out blaster pistol.[1]
During the New Republic Era, the helmet nearly the rear's face have been painted red, the rank insignia plaques on the black gloves on both sides, and boots gray.[4]
