Rebel Friend was a human affiliated with the Alliance to Restore the Republic who had light skin and black eyes and wore red-and-black clothing along with a black-and-white helmet and chin strap.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Rebel Friend was reintroduced to the new Star Wars canon in the non-canon video game LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga,[1] which was released on April 5, 2022.[2] Rebel Friend's name was revealed in a tweet by the official account of the game on March 28 of that year.[3] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Rebel Friend was created for the non-canon video game LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy.[4]
In LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Rebel Friend can be acquired by completing the side quest "The Healing Power of Crystals" on Hoth. He also appears in the level "Boarding Party" where the player must use Jedi mind tricks to make him and two other rebel troopers dance to acquire a Minikit from Max Rebo. The character's in-game description states "Never has there been such a stalwart Rebel Trooper. A perennial figure in the Rebellion's efforts to stop the Empire, Rebel Friend is a constant reminder of how noble, and friendly, the Rebels can be."
