In 14 BBY^[2] the Jedi Padawan Cal Kestis encountered the sick jotaz while exploring the Crash Site of the Venator-class Star Destroyer during his secret mission to rebuild the Jedi Order. When the rabid jotaz attacked, Kestis fought and killed the beast.^[1]
