R6 astromechs were a series of astromech droids.^[2] Much like the R5 series,^[6] the R6's head was shaped like a conical frustum, but its eye piece more closely resembled^[7] that of the R2 series.^[8]

The R6 series was used by the Resistance in starfighters such as the T-70 X-wing.^[2]
