A Jedi Master of the Jedi Order lived during the Republic Era and garnered praise throughout the galaxy for his work with fauna.[1] His success prompted many worlds to request his aid when in need of assistance for animal-related issues.[2] At some point between 49 BBY and 41 BBY,[3] the Jedi took the youngling Prie as a Padawan learner and moved into shared living quarters in the Jedi Temple on the Core Worlds planet Coruscant with her. As her Master, he encouraged Prie's thirst for knowledge and actively supported his student in her studies.[1]
During her training, Prie spent most of her time on undeveloped worlds to protect new settlements,[2] with the Jedi Master teaching his Padawan about Force sensitivity in animals.[1] In 41 BBY,[3] the Master told Prie that her friend Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi's Jedi Master, Qui-Gon Jinn, had been arguing with the Jedi High Council that day. Prie repeated this information to Kenobi, which upset the Padawan. While on a mission to the Outer Rim planet Lenahra not long after, Kenobi reflected that his struggles to connect with animals may have been why Prie's Jedi Master had not chosen him as a Padawan. He continued contemplating Prie's close connection with her Master during his time on the world and feared it would lessen the bond between their Padawan friend group.[1] Later, in 40 BBY,[4] Kenobi recalled Prie's apprenticeship to her Master and the Padawan's encounter with a large horned beast.[2]

Prie's Jedi Master was committed to training his student well, insisting on sharing quarters in the Jedi Temple to allow them easier access to each other for studying.[1] He and his Padawan embarked on several missions together[2] and proved able to communicate with her well about how she could best continue learning.[1]
