Lenahra was a terrestrial planet on the most distant reaches of the Outer Rim Territories[2] in the Unknown Regions.[1] The planet was strong with life energy and had a degree of sentience, with its entire biosphere strongly connected to each other through a substance known as the Power. Lenahra's existence was known to the Jedi Order at some point prior to the High Republic Era, with the planet marked on a map carved into the walls of the library in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. At some point after the library had been converted into a banquet hall, Jedi Padawans Orla Jareni and Cohmac Vitus discovered the carving of Lenahra, and Jareni, fascinated, visited the planet after becoming a Wayseeker. She discovered ruins of an ancient civilization which had once inhabited Lenahra after crash-landing there, having destroyed itself after discovering and abusing the Power. Jareni left a datachip with a record of her findings,[2] but died before she could return.[4]

Some years later, a mixed-species group of colonists in a settlement ship crash-landed on Lenahra and dwelled there for a time. Eventually, after several generations, they too discovered the Power in a cave accessible through the ground scar caused by the arrival of the first Lenahran civilization, causing the planet to turn on them. Most of the colonists chose to construct a makeshift starship and leave, but a group refused to depart and hid themselves and their children away, remaining behind on Lenahra. The adults taught the children to harvest and use the Power, and the abuse of the stolen life energy meant that within a few years, only twelve children and teenagers remained alive out of the original thirty-eight.[2] In 41 BBY,[3] Jedi Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi discovered the map to Lenahra and ventured there himself, encountering the Lenahrans.[2]
