For other uses, see Pax (disambiguation).

Pax was an astronomical object located in the Expansion Region[1] and the Trailing Sectors regions[2] in grid square N-16 of the Standard Galactic Grid. The hyperspace route known as the Hydian Way linked Pax to the Chardaan system and the celestial body ZeHeth, while another route connected it to the astronomical objects Kira and Vondarc.[1]

In 34 ABY,[3] Chandrila Star Line's Star Cruiser Halcyon passed by Pax on a cruise from the Core Worlds' Chandrila system to the Outer Rim Territories. Several screens aboard the starship displayed a partial map of the galaxy that indicated Pax's position.[4]

Behind the scenes[]

Pax was first mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in the fourty-third issue of Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon magazine,[5] published around October 28, 2015.[6] Pax's first in-universe appearance came in the form of being depicted on a map viewable in Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, an immersive roleplaying experience at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida[4] that opened to the public on March 1, 2022.[7]

The Pax system was originally introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity via the 1993 book Twin Stars of Kira, a supplement for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. In the book, the star system appeared in the roleplaying game adventure "Treasure Hunt," which was written by Todd Quigley and illustrated by Tim Eldred.[8]
