Pal Erlang was a Jedi Knight of the Jedi Order during the High Republic Era.[1] In 228 BBY,[2] after the Lightning Crash, a Nihil space station which house a crystal array that powered the Nihil's Stormwall barrier, was destroyed by the Jedi and Republic Defense Coalition, both forces did sweeps of the remaining intact levels of the station to round up any surviving Nihil. While leading Nihil prisoners to the Defense Coalition cruiser Third Horizon, Jedi Master Elzar Mann saw Erlang and fellow Jedi Knight Striland Gryl piloting Jedi Vector, fly through a hole in the hull of the Lightning Crash so they could assist in the Defense Coalition team's rounding up possible prisoners.[1]

Pal Erlang appeared as a starfighter in the 2024 novel The High Republic: Temptation of the Force, written by Tessa Gratton and published as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase III.[3]
