Obi-Wan Kenobi flew this Eta-2 Actis-class interceptor during the late Outer Rim Sieges of the Clone Wars.

History[]

Outer Rim Sieges[]

"A little toasted, but I'm okay."
―Obi-Wan Kenobi during the Battle of Belderone[1]

The fighter was assigned to Kenobi shortly after his use of a previous interceptor in 19 BBY during the Outer Rim Sieges. With his astromech droid R4-P17 now ready for use with a fighter of this class, Kenobi transferred to the newer, red-hulled fighter.

A vicious fight over Belderone would see the interceptor in use against the droid fighters of the CIS. Although it sustained damage during the battle,[1] it was still in combat condition at the fight's conclusion.

During a mission against CIS leader Count Dooku some weeks later, Kenobi piloted the interceptor to Tythe, where it formed part of a taskforce to assault the planet.

Coruscant and destruction[]

"Flying's for droids!"
―Kenobi during combat over Coruscant[2]

Responding to a call from Coruscant reporting that the Supreme Chancellor had been kidnapped by droid leader General Grievous, Kenobi and his comrade Anakin Skywalker proceeded to the Coruscant system to mount a rescue.

Arriving insystem, Kenobi used the interceptor to impressive extent during the battle. Although formidable against droid fighters and tri-fighters, the ship was assaulted by buzz droids. The droids wreaked havoc on the interceptor, destroying Kenobi's droid R4-P17 and ruining its systems.

Although Anakin Skywalker was able to help guide Kenobi to a safe landing inside Grievous's cruiser, the ship was unfit for action, having had its left wing foils completely sheared off. As the cruiser took fire from Republic warships, it was cleaved in two, and the hangar was destroyed; with it, Kenobi's interceptor.
