"OOM-14 has allowed the Naboo to make off with a precious droid control program."
―Nute Gunray, to OOM-9 — (audio) Listen (file info)[2]

OOM-14, an OOM command B1-Series battle droid with masculine programming, was manufactured by Baktoid Armor Workshop for the Trade Federation Droid Army. The battle droid was in command of a small force and responsible for operating and guarding a droid control program, a physical brown cube, located near the city of Harte Secur during the invasion of the planet Naboo in the year 32 BBY. He was defeated by the Royal Naboo Security Forces of Harte Secur, and the program was lost, rendering OOM-14's forces useless and deactivated. Trade Federation Viceroy Nute Gunray tasked OOM-9, the command droid leading the invasion, with retrieving the program, and upon doing so, OOM-14's forces were reactivated.

OOM-14's deactivated army

Created by Baktoid Combat Automata[1] with masculine programming, OOM-14 was an OOM command B1-Series battle droid in the Trade Federation Droid Army. During the invasion of the planet Naboo in 32 BBY, he was a leader in the initial landing on the world and was tasked with protecting one of five droid control programs, physical brown cubes that kept the Droid Army active. However, OOM-14 was unable to protect the device, and a Royal Naboo Security Forces team called Force Command Two stole it, rendering his army inoperative at a Deactivated Camp. Knowing that the program in the Naboo's hands could compromise the Trade Federation's invasion efforts, Federation Viceroy Nute Gunray ordered OOM-9, his personal command droid, to steal back the program from the city Harte Secur, where it was being studied by the Naboo. OOM-9 retrieved it and reactivated OOM-14's army with the help of a Neimoidian technician, thereafter leading a retaliatory attack on Harte Secur.[2]

Characteristics[]

OOM-14 was a B1 battle droid[2] that stood 1.91 meters tall. The OOM command droid was manufactured by Baktoid Combat Automata.[1] Thus, he had masculine programming[2] and was armed with an E-5 blaster rifle.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

"We have secured the city of Pontel."
―OOM-14 in cut dialogue — (audio) Listen (file info)[2]

OOM-14 was first mentioned in the PC video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds in which he was voiced by Robert Pike Daniel. In the second level of the Trade Federation campaign titled "Behind the Lines," in which the player controls OOM-9's forces to retrieve the droid control program and destroy Harte Secur, OOM-14 is mentioned as the command droid responsible for the loss of the droid control program, but he does not make an actual appearance in the game's storyline. However, OOM-14 is included in the scenario editor mode of the game, where he is a unit that can be put in a player-made level. Unused audio files from the first level of the Trade Federation campaign; "Beachhead," portray OOM-14 spotting Naboo soldiers near the city of Pontel, and proceeding to successfully attack it.[2]
