Moonfruits were a type of fruit. At some point during the High Republic Era, the Jedi youngling Gavi levitated one of the fruits with Padawan Ram Jomaram spectating in a training room within the Outer Rim planet Valo's Jedi temple. When Jomaram met Gavi again[1] in 229 BBY,[2] the Padawan struggled to remember the youngling, vaguely recalling the younger student lifting a moonfruit in a training room.[1]
Around 4 ABY,[3] the Galactic Empire scout trooper Hoyel was knocked out by an Ewok. The following day, he woke up with his head throbbing in pain, comparing the sensation to a rotten moonfruit ready to burst.[4]
Behind the scenes[]
Moonfruits were first mentioned in the short story "Wolf Trap", written by Alyssa Wong and published in 2023 as part of the anthology From a Certain Point of View: Return of the Jedi.[4]
