Melik Galerha was a Force-sensitive human who served as a Jedi Knight^[2] of the Jedi Order during the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems.^[1] In 19 BBY,^[3] Galerha attended a briefing on the Republic's Outer Rim Sieges given by Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi in one of the conference rooms of the Jedi Temple on the planet Coruscant.^[1]

After the briefing, Galerha left the room while conversing with^[1] Jedi Master J'oopi Shé,^[2] passing Kenobi's former Padawan, Anakin Skywalker, as he entered the briefing room.^[1] Galerha had dark skin, brown eyes, and black hair.^[2] The Knight wore brown Jedi robes and brown boots while on Coruscant and carried a lightsaber.^[1]

Melik Galerha first appeared in the 2005 prequel trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith.^[1] The briefing room scene was filmed at Fox Studios, Sydney on August 8, 2003.^[4] In the current Star Wars canon, the character was identified in the 2017 reference book Star Wars: The Visual Encyclopedia.^[2] The name originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first used in the 2008 reference book The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia.^[5]
