"Mech My Day" is a non-canon animated LEGO short released on October 10, 2023 as part of the LEGO STAR WARS: Celebrate the Season series.[1]

Official description[]

Tired of being bossed around by Darth Vader, a clever stormtrooper builds his own mechanical suit. Refusing to be outdone, the Sith Lord constructs his own mechanical creation to challenge the trooper.[1]

Plot summary[]

At Fortress Vader, a stormtrooper oils Darth Vader's helmet. He polishes the helmet but accidentally causes it to fall of Vader's head. This enrages the Sith Lord who Force chokes and levitates the stormtrooper. The stormtrooper puts Vader's helmet back the wrong way, prompting him to Force choke the stormtrooper and to hurl his comrades to the floor.

Vader's violent treatment enrages the stormtrooper, who heads into a garage and builds a mech walker. He confronts Lord Vader in his throne room. This excites the other stormtrooper sentries. Vader responds by using the Force to build his own mech walker. The rogue stormtrooper and Vader engage in a tussle with their mech walkers. The two fighters are evenly match despite Vader's mech being smaller. Vader gains the advantage and punches the stormtrooper's mech repeatedly. While they are fighting, Boba Fett flies past the window in his starship Slave I.

While Vader and the rogue stormtrooper engage in a second round, Fett enters the throne room in his mech and knocks the two to the ground. He claims victory but Vader and the stormtrooper rise and attempt to attack him. Fett's Mech escapes using a jetpack and flies through the ceiling. Vader and the stormtrooper emerge from the wreckage. Vader Force chokes the rogue stormtrooper a third time.
