"This is L9-7240 reporting in. We've got confirmed casualties."
―L9-7240 — (audio) Listen (file info)[3]

L9-7240 was the designation of an Imperial scout trooper stationed on the planet Kashyyyk in 14 BBY. While fighting Partisans led by the rebel Saw Gerrera, the trooper was carried in an All Terrain Armored Transport crossing the River of Origin. During the crossing, a TIE/ln space superiority starfighter crashed into the walker, killing several stormtroopers within. After L9-7240 checked the pulse of one of the deceased, the scout trooper and two comrades engaged the fugitive Jedi Cal Kestis, but were killed.

L9-7240 checked the pulse of a fallen stormtrooper after the walker carrying them was struck by a TIE fighter.

L9-7240 was the designation of[3] a human[2] scout trooper that served in the Stormtrooper Corps of the Galactic Empire.[3] In 14 BBY,[1] the trooper was stationed on the jungle planet Kashyyyk, homeworld of the Wookiee species whom the Empire had enslaved. L9-7240 was part of forces that fought fugitive Wookiees and Partisans led by the rebel Saw Gerrera; riding in one of three All Terrain Armored Transports that crossed the River of Origin during a skirmish with their foes. The scout's walker was struck by a downed TIE/ln space superiority starfighter, and although it continued crossing the water, four stormtroopers being transported in the hold were killed.[3]

Having survived the impact alongside another scout trooper and a commander, L9-7240 checked the pulse of one of the deceased troopers to no avail. The other scout trooper then claimed it was L9-7240's turn to report the fatalities and so, after sighing, L9-7240 did so over comms. The fugitive Jedi Padawan Cal Kestis, who had boarded the walker shortly after the TIE crashed into it, then emerged from a hatch at the rear of the walkers hold. Spotting the Jedi, L9-7240 and the other two Imperials present attacked, but all three were killed by Kestis. The Padawan then took control of the walker and used it to aid the Wookiees and Partisans by attacking other Imperial forces, ultimately wrecking the vehicle in the nearby jungle.[3]

Equipment[]

L9-7240 wore white and black scout trooper armor with a red and black harness. In combat, the scout trooper used an electro riot baton.[3]

Behind the scenes[]

L9-7240 appeared as an enemy that must be killed to progress the story in the Respawn Entertainment video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.[3] Prior to the release of the game on November 15, 2019, the trooper appeared in a gameplay demo released on November 15, 2019.[4]
