- "You two find the general and help him. This frigate is not going to last; we have to get out of here!"
"Yes, sir!" - ―Rex, telling Koho and Denal to find Anakin Skywalker
Koho was the nickname of a clone trooper who served in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. In 22 BBY, Koho served under Clone Captain Rex, and participated in the Battle of Devaron aboard the Duros bounty hunter Cad Bane's Munificent-class star frigate to recover a Jedi holocron that Bane had stolen. During the fight, Rex ordered Koho and fellow clone trooper Denal to find Jedi General Anakin Skywalker and his Padawan, Ahsoka Tano, who had left to pursue Bane. The two clones began searching the frigate and soon located and confronted Bane. After the pair ordered the bounty hunter to surrender, however, the Duros killed both Koho and Denal and escaped.
Biography[]
A clone of the Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett, the clone trooper nicknamed Koho was born on the planet Kamino to fight for the Grand Army of the Republic.[1] In 22 BBY,[2][3] he participated in the Battle of Devaron. Serving under Clone Captain Rex, Koho joined Rex's squad within the 501st Legion and accompanied Jedi General Anakin Skywalker and his Padawan, Ahsoka Tano, to recover a Jedi holocron that had been previously stolen by the Duros bounty hunter Cad Bane. After engaging Bane and his battle droids in a firefight aboard his personal Confederate Munificent-class star frigate, Tano separated from Skywalker's group and chased after the fleeing Bane, who had the stolen holocron in his possession. Skywalker soon ordered Rex and the clone troopers to find the frigate's hangar and secure a transport while he left to find his Padawan.[4]
After finding a Sheathipede-class transport shuttle on standby inside the hangar, Rex received a comlink transmission from Admiral Wullf Yularen and was told to evacuate the heavily damaged frigate. The clone captain then gave Koho and fellow trooper Denal the task of locating and assisting Skywalker. The two clones departed from the group, but while searching for the Jedi General, they spotted Bane on top of a platform overlooking the hangar. Koho and Denal confronted Bane, and Denal told the Duros bounty hunter to surrender.[4] However, their attempt at capturing Bane was cut short when the bounty hunter killed Denal[6] and Koho,[5] stole Denal's armor,[6] and escaped with the Republic force on board the Sheathipede-class transport shuttle.[4]
Personality and traits[]
As a clone of Fett,[4] Koho stood 1.83 meters tall.[1] The clone trooper wore white Phase I clone armor. His helmet featured a red-colored binocular visor.[4]
Behind the scenes[]
Koho first appeared in "Cargo of Doom," the second episode in the second season of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series, which aired on October 2, 2009. While the trooper was not identified in the episode, his name was revealed in the episode's accompanying online guide.[7] While his fate remained unknown in Cargo of Doom, his death was later confirmed in the 2010 Star Wars: The Clone Wars Official Episode Guide Series 1 & 2.
