"This is a list of the surviving Jedi. Others may remain, but of these we are certain. Unfortunately… they have hidden themselves extremely well."
―The Grand Inquisitor[1]

Ka-Moon Kholi was a member of the Jedi Order that managed to survive Order 66 and years into the Great Jedi Purge under the reign of the Galactic Empire. Shortly after the hunt for Eeth Koth, Darth Vader and the Grand Inquisitor met at a conference in the Inquisitorius Headquarters to review a holographic list of confirmed survivors that had hidden themselves well. Kholi was part of the list, as were Coleman Kcaj, Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Oppo Rancisis, and Selrahc Eluos.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

"Darth Vader #19 also revealed two previously unknown Jedi survivors: Selrahc Eluos and Kah-Moon [sic] Kholi... oh man. Definitely the best Jedi of ALL TIME. Vader better PRAY he never finds those two."
―Author Charles Soule on Twitter[2]

Ka-Moon Kholi is a tuckerization of the last name of Giuseppe Camuncoli, penciller of Star Wars: Darth Vader (2017). Kholi was first mentioned in a hologram in the nineteenth issue of the comic series, written by Charles Soule[1] and published on August 8, 2018.[3] Matt Martin later confirmed that Kholi and Eluos, a tuckerization of Soule's full name, were actual characters in the canon continuity, and not simply Easter eggs.[4]
