Jinton was a Jedi trainee of the Jedi Order who lived during the High Republic Era. While in the Valo Temple on the Outer Rim planet Valo, they participated in a free-for-all lightsaber match and paired off against the youngling Tep Tep as their opponent. The youngling Gavi shoved Jinton out of a window in the chaos before leaving with Tep Tep to meet with fellow youngling Kildo and the group's friend—Valon native Driggit Parse—to sneak out of the Jedi temple and play in the Lonisa City library.^[1] In 229 BBY,^[2] Gavi and Parse reminisced on the incident—including Jinton's involvement—while sitting on the library's front steps, as many of Valo's Jedi had been killed by Nihil marauders by that point.^[1]

Jinton was mentioned in Escape from Valo, a 2024 junior novel written by Daniel José Older and Alyssa Wong as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's^[1] Phase III.^[3]
