The Inquisitorium dark trooper was a model of dark trooper used by the Inquisitorius branch of the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War.

Design[]

Inquisitorium dark troopers served the Imperial Inquisition,^[1] an organization of Dark Side Adepts tasked with hunting down Jedi and other Force-sensitives.^[2]

This dark trooper design was a variant of the Phase III dark troopers. These dark troopers used heavy weapons, but relied on pistols and shock staffs as well, despite the trooper's clunky size. They used tactics such as attack pattern Ignimus. Inquisitorium dark troopers sometimes worked alongside Inquisitorium hunters.^[1]

History[]

A group of Inquisitorium dark troopers and Inquisitorium hunters were deployed on the planet Mustafar after the Battle of Yavin to hunt and kill the Dark Jedi Xos. However, Xos was killed by a spacer briefly before the Inquisitorius forces localized the Dark Jedi in the Southern Jedi Ruins.^[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Inquisitorium dark troopers were non-player characters in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,^[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.^[3] Inquisitorium dark troopers were added to the game with the release of the expansion pack Trials of Obi-Wan on November 1, 2005.^[1]
