Dark Novatroopers were a variant of the dark troopers, deadly next-generation stormtrooper battle droids used by the Galactic Empire.

They were programmed with expertise in boarding operations against enemy ships and as such were commonly used to board Rebel Alliance starships. They remained in operation throughout the Galactic Civil War, unlike the standard dark trooper models. They were armed with heavily modified DLT-20As. These stormtrooper battle droids were very heavily armored to enforce control of any Rebel Alliance situation they encountered.
