"Just keep trying the doors. Eventually we'll find what we're looking… for.» [sees interns]
«Ilini, they're just kids.»
«Hareck, I don't like this at all."
―Ilini and Hareck[1]

Ilini was a non-binary Ubese bounty hunter who was married to Hareck. The couple was exiled from Uba IV after Ilini killed their own father. Ilini and Hareck joined Boushh's crew of Ubese exiles.

Biography[]

Ilini was a non-binary[2] Ubese individual who was exiled from Uba IV after killing their own father.[1] Their[3] spouse, Hareck,[4] agreed that it was justified, and he helped Ilini hide the body. By the War of the Bounty Hunters, Ilini had been banished for five years. As bounty hunters, Ilini and Hareck became member of a crew of Ubese exiles led by Boushh, alongside Brene and Tans.[1]

Personality and traits[]

"H-he was your brother! And you killed him!"
"Did I? Or will everyone believe me when I say you did?"
―Ilini and Domina Tagge[1]

Ilini empathized with Tans' difficulty adjusting to being exiled, saying that it had not grown easier for them, either. During the crew's job on the Acquisitor, Ilini was surprised and displeased to find a group of children on board. Although the bounty had killed their own father, they were shocked when Domina Tagge killed her brother, Silas, who was responsible for Crimson Dawn hiring the crew.[1]

Skills and abilities[]

In addition to fluency in the Ubese language, Ilini spoke Galactic Basic Standard.[1]

Equipment[]

Ilini wore layered, blue-green clothing, including a knee-length cape worn behind their back but attached in front to their belt. They had a cyan visor on their silver-toned helmet. They also wore gray gloves and boots and wielded a blaster rifle.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

"Lean, dangerous, and terribly pretty […] Ride or die for their friends"
―Description by Alyssa Wong[3]

Ilini appeared in War of the Bounty Hunters – Boushh 1, a one-shot issue of the Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters comic book crossover event, which was written by Alyssa Wong with art by David Baldeón.[1] After the release of the issue, Wong shared further details from their script notes via Twitter, including Ilini's non-binary gender, they/them pronouns, and observations about their personality.[3]
