Gretta was a human individual who was born on Jedha to a family who were all Fallanassi. At one point she found the kyber crystal specialist Cuata after he fled from the Galactic Empire, brought him to the planet Christophsis and began working with him.[1] In 1 BBY the Empire destroyed the Holy City on Jedha,[2] and all of Gretta's family were killed. Four years after her family were killed, Gretta saved the Jedi-in-training Luke Skywalker from being turned into the Empire when he visited a cantina on Christophsis in search of kyber crystals by killing the patrons and bartender. After Gretta agreed to help Skywalker find a kyber crystal, the two traveled aboard Gretta's speeder until they were attacked by a creature. Skywalker attempted to calm the creature but it was killed by Cuata, who asked Skywalker for his lightsaber.[1]
