After many years of neglecting it, it's time for us to finally make a ruling on De Agostini's Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon magazine series. Similar to Fantasy Flight Games, it was partially published during the transition from Legends to canon in 2014 and so is not necessarily as clear cut as other sources when determining where we should document it. Also like FFG, the series makes large pulls from Legends material such as the use of images from Legends sources while also including exclusively canon material from Star Wars Rebels and Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens. These are often referenced within the same articles. Having gone through the magazine, the first reference to exclusively canon material appears in Issue 17, with issues 1-16 containing some of the most heavily Legends based material. Issues from 79 onwards all clearly label any Legends content as such, and so these are easier to deal with.
I have recently spoken with Tim Veekhoven, one of the authors of the magazine, about the intentions in terms of canon/Legends when the magazine was being written. I've posted the conversation here. In my opinion, this makes clear that the magazine was written with the intention of it being a part of the canon continuity, with Legends material only being used if it aligned with the new canon. Based on this and the content of the magazine, I propose that we add the following bullet point to the "What about...?" section of Wookieepedia:Canon policy:
- Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon. Lucasfilm has also not issued any definitive declarations about Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon, so this material also remains publicly undetermined. Per Consensus Track vote, Wookieepedia treats issues 1-16 of Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon as Legends and issues 17-100 of the magazine as canon, excluding any section explicitly labeled as Legends.
I believe this aligns with the authors comments in terms of it being canon, while not including the issues published closest to the canon/Legends switch over which contain no information from the new canon at all while heavily pulling from Legends.

Discussion[]
- My suggestion is that when the magazine conflicts with any un-ambiguously canon source, we always give the other source precedent over Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon; however, I'm not including this as part of the current vote since I think it will require a separate discussion and potentially might be broadened to include other ambiguously canon sources.
