A flatharp was a twenty-stringed harp. A Rodian Jedi playing the flatharp was depicted on a mural in the Jedi temple on the planet Valo. On the painting, music was depicted swirling around the Jedi while they played the instrument.[1]
In 229 BBY,[2] Valo was trapped behind the Stormwall in the Nihil Occlusion Zone. Padawan Ram Jomaram used the Valo Jedi temple as a secret base to hide from the Nihil. While looking at his lightsaber after coming back to the temple, Jomaram noticed the painted Jedi and their flatharp on the ceiling.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
A flatharp appeared as a painting in Escape from Valo, a junior novel written by Daniel José Older and Alyssa Wong and published in 2024 as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia campaign's[1] Phase III.[3]
