FX-6[3] was an FX-9 surgical assistant[1] that built Grievous after the Kaleesh[3] was involved in a gruesome shuttle crash that almost killed him[4] and destroyed most of his original body.[5] In 19 BBY,[6] FX-6 was present at the Grand Republic Medical Facility on Coruscant with a DD-13 medical assistant droid, 2-1B-series medical droid,[3] and another FX-9 surgical assistant.[7] and performed blood transfusions during the reconstruction of Darth Vader[1] following his defeat at the hands of Obi-Wan Kenobi on Mustafar.[2] At some point after 12 BBY,[8] FX-6, and the DD-13 and 2-1B medical droids, were moved to Vader's fortress on Mustafar, where they continued to design and implement improvements to Vader's armor under his supervision.[3]
