The Empress Teta system was a star system located in the Koros sector[3] of the Deep Core, containing[1] the planet Empress Teta and its moon, Atale.[3] Carbonite mines within the system were conquered by a group known as the Krath thousands of years before the New Republic Era.[4] At some point they also conquered the system itself,[5] and later the Galactic Republic reclaimed the system from the Krath.[3]
According to the Qel-Droma Epics, the system had once been known as the Koros system, but the name was changed after the system's unification by the legendary Empress Teta.[3]
