"Pirate King Gorian Shard is captaining a Cumulus Class Corsair carrying a complement of snubfighters. It has aerial bombardment capabilities."
―Bo-Katan Kryze[1]

The Cumulus Class Corsair was a type of corsair ship used by the Pirate King Gorian Shard[1] approximately five years after the Battle of Endor.[2]

Description[]

The Cumulus class was a combat ship, roughly cruciform or dagger shaped, with a prominent blade-shaped prow. It was well armed with four quad lasers, fourteen ventral gunwales, and could carry a complement of at least ten fighters.[1]

Weaknesses[]

Despite it's somewhat large size and impressive weapons and fighter carrying capabilities, however, a Cumulus Class Corsair was unfortunately known to be very slow and was less maneuverable, even when engaging faster and better armed enemy fighters and gunships. A fatal flaw in it's design, is that if an enemy warship or fighter had managed to successfully land a direct hit on all its engines, the vessel itself would go out of control and crash and burn upon impact.[1]

History[]

A Cumulus in service to the Pirate Nation, notably Gorian Shard's gang, took part in the pirate siege on Nevarro. Despite its impressive capabilities, the ship was eventually brought down and destroyed by Din Djarin's N-1 starfighter and Bo-Katan Kryze's Gauntlet starfighter during the Pirate siege on Nevarro, which ultimately resulted in Gorian Shard's death.[1]
