Char-Ryl-Roy was a Cerean male Jedi Master who served on the Jedi High Council during the High Republic Era.^[2] In 382 BBY,^[5] Roy, along with fellow Jedi Master Creighton Sun, Jedi Knight Gella Nattai, and Roy's Padawan Enya Keen traveled to Eiram aboard the Longbeam cruiser Valiant on a mission to deliver medical supplies.^[2]

Char-Ryl-Roy appeared in the 2022 novel The High Republic: Convergence, written by Zoraida Córdova for the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project.^[2] In the Characters of Star Wars: The High Republic episode "The Chancellors," the Cerean Jedi is pictured speaking with Orlen Mollo while Jedi Knight Gella Nattai can be seen in the background.^[6] A picture of Char-Ryl-Roy in Star Wars: The High Republic: Chronicles of the Jedi later confirmed that the Jedi from Characters of Star Wars: The High Republic was indeed Char-Ryl-Roy.^[4]
