"The brakkenback stew is especially good today."
―Dexter Jettster[2]

Brakkenback stew was a type of thick stew served at Dex's Diner on the planet Coruscant. While holding several patrons of the diner hostage, the Weequay Jarl demanded Dexter Jettster, the Besalisk proprietor of the diner, serve him a bowl of the stew. Jettster obliged before attacking the Weequay and throwing a pan of the stew at the protocol droid T7.

Description[]

"I tell you what. I'm not an unreasonable man. How about you bring me a bowl of that fine smelling stew, while Servit here considers his options."
"One bowl of brakkenback stew coming up."
―Jarl and Dexter Jettster[2]

Brakkenback stew was a type of thick stew that was edible to Besalisks, Mirialans, and Weequay.[2]

History[]

"Come on. We'd better get Tee-Seven down to the workshop before his circuits are gummed up for good by that stinking stew."
―Jarl[2]

During the reign of the Galactic Republic, brakkenback stew was served at Dex's Diner[2] on the planet Coruscant.[1] When the Mirialan Servit visited the diner to meet with Dexter Jettster, the Besalisk proprietor, Jettster asked the Mirialan if he wanted something to eat for lunch, informing him that that day's batch of brakkenback stew was particularly good. Admitting that he wished he could sit down for lunch, Servit instead asked Jettster to speak with him privately behind the diner.[2]

Their discussion was interrupted by the Weequay criminal Jarl and his crew, who had taken several patrons of the diner hostage in order to force Servit to hand over an EX droid in his possession that was carrying valuable information. When Sevrit and Jettster confronted the criminals, Jarl demanded a serving of the brakkenback stew, as he thought it smelled good. The Besalisk then ladled a portion of stew from the large cooking pan he had been preparing it in into a bowl, which he placed before the Weequay. When Jarl then put down his blaster and reached for a spoon in order to eat the stew, Jettster hit the criminal around the back of the head with a frying pan, causing him to slump forward and tip the stew all over his lap.[2]

The Besalisk then threw the rest of the pan of stew at T7, a protocol droid working with Jarl, causing the droid to curse as the thick sauce seeped into its inner workings. Jarl soon recovered, but after discovering that the information held by the droid was in fact worthless, the Weequay left with T7 to ensure that the stew did not permanently damage the droid. Servit then asked for a dewback burger for lunch, assuming that no stew was left.[2]
