- "There's a big race tomorrow, on Boonta Eve."
- ―Anakin Skywalker, to Qui-Gon Jinn
Boonta Eve was an annual holiday and festival celebrated on the desert planet of Tatooine during the last decades of the Old Republic[1] and the time of the New Republic.[3] It honored the rise of Boonta Hestilic Shad'ruu to godhood.[1] In Mos Eisley, it was celebrated with Fireworks and a Pod Race called the Boonta Eve Classic.[3][2]
