- "Thaya, send someone down here with meat, the first three things you can put in a bag, along with several different designs of handheld weapons and that three-legged tooka cat that Bas Ear'lasr has been feeding in my hangar bay."
"Yes, Eye, immediately." - ―Marchion Ro and Thaya Ferr
Bas Ear'lasr was a Nihil pirate who served on the Gaze Electric, the flagship of Eye of the Nihil Marchion Ro during the High Republic Era. They fed a three-legged tooka within a hangar on the Gaze which eventually came to Ro's attention.[1] In 228 BBY,[2] when the Eye was at a crystal farm on the fifth moon of the planet Norisyn investigating a plague, he asked his secretary, Thaya Ferr, to send a Nihil to bring him the tooka among other items. In response, Ferr had a human Nihil take the cat in a bag to Ro. The Eye then threw the tooka into the crystals that had been infected by the plague, and it eventually died.[1]
Behind the scenes[]

- ↑ Star Wars: Timelines dates Starlight Beacon's destruction to 230 BBY. The implementation of the Guardian Protocols, which Star Wars: The High Republic Character Encyclopedia places in 229 BBY, took place one week after Starlight Beacon's fall according to The High Republic: Shadows of Starlight 1. As The High Republic: Temptation of the Force takes place one year and six weeks after the destruction of Starlight Beacon and its events span a few months, its events must be set in 228 BBY.
