Azudo Chanch was a human male who was an able mechanic and served as a pilot for the Cavern Angels squadron, part of the resistance fighter Saw Gerrera's partisans. In 1 BBY, Chanch was stationed in the Catacombs of Cadera, Gerrera's headquarters on the moon Jedha.
When the rebel prisoner Jyn Erso was brought to the catacombs, Chanch glared at her shortly before the structure was destroyed by the Galactic Empire's Death Star battle station.

Azudo Chanch was an able mechanic who served in the partisans' Cavern Angels squadron.
Azudo Chanch[3] was a human[1] male[2] who served as a pilot in the Cavern Angels, a squadron of eight T-65 X-wing starfighters used by the resistance fighter Saw Gerrera's partisans during their campaigns against the Galactic Empire.[3] By 1 BBY,[4] Chanch and the Cavern Angels were based in[1] the Catacombs of Cadera on the moon Jedha,[3] Gerrera's headquarters, while he disrupted the Empire's kyber crystal mining operations.[5]
That year,[4] Chanch was stood[1] in the armory[2] of the catacombs when the rebel prisoner Jyn Erso was escorted past by Chanch's compatriot[1] Javroth Meers[3] and another partisan. Stood at a table with an illuminated surface,[1] Chanch glared at Erso as she passed.[2] Soon after, Jedha City was obliterated when the Empire's Death Star battle station fired its superlaser at Jedha, creating a shockwave heading toward the catacombs. The partisans inside attempted to flee, and while Gerrera[1] and many others perished when the catacombs were destroyed, others did manage to escape the blast.[6]

Chanch wore a cobbled-together kit that included a brown, padded jacket with a brown belt, black gloves, and a gray gauntlet on the right arm. The pilot also had a white pauldron on the jacket's left shoulder and the white helmet of an Imperial scout trooper.[3]

Azudo Chanch appeared in the 2016 Anthology Series film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.[1] The character was then identified in the 2023 reference book Star Wars: Dawn of Rebellion: The Visual Guide, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo and Emily Shkoukani.[3]
