- "Ejecting!"
- ―Aviay
Aviay was a Jedi Knight of the Jedi Order during the High Republic Era. After the Guardian Protocols were implemented[1] in 229 BBY,[2] he partnered with the Cathar Jedi Knight Far Linghe.[1] In 228 BBY,[3] Aviay and Linghe were part of the Jedi team under Jedi Master Avar Kriss who took part in an assault on[1] the Mid Rim[4] planet Naboo which was under occupation by the Nihil pirates in their Occlusion Zone region of space that was behind the Stormwall barrier which prevented hyperspace travel.[1]
During the assault, Aviay piloted a Jedi Vector but was forced to eject from his Vector after his ship was shot down. After landing safely in the capital city Theed, his partner went to find him. The two later again took part in the aerial battle. After Naboo was freed from Nihil rule and the majority of the Jedi and Republic Defense Coalition forces left the planet, Aviay and Linghe remained on Naboo, believing the world needed a few Jedi to stay and that there was plenty for them to do within the Occlusion Zone.[1]

- ↑ Star Wars: Timelines dates Starlight Beacon's destruction to 230 BBY. The implementation of the Guardian Protocols, which Star Wars: The High Republic Character Encyclopedia places in 229 BBY, took place one week after Starlight Beacon's fall according to The High Republic: Shadows of Starlight 1. As The High Republic: Temptation of the Force takes place one year and six weeks after the destruction of Starlight Beacon and its events span a few months, its events must be set in 228 BBY.
