Arathab Fal was a Tarnab male who was a wanted murderer during the High Republic Era. Fal acted as the agent of an individual who claimed to be the upper ranks of the Nihil marauder organization, wishing to sell a weapon.[3] On the planet Coruscant, Fal met with the criminal Urk Panga and Keefar Branto, a reformed criminal[2] and undercover Galactic Republic operative.[3] When the detective Sian Holt followed Branto to investigate why he was associating with criminals, Fal emerged from the shadows and attacked them, shooting Panga dead. Branto and Holt attempted to flee, but the Tarnab also killed the former. Holt was knocked down, and though she managed to reach for her blaster and fire back at Fal before falling unconscious,[2] the Tarnab escaped, moving on to Vorzyd V, where he once again attempted to sell the item.[3] Sometime later, Fal became a member of the Nihil, and served as one of Eye of the Nihil Marchion Ro's She'ar.[6] While a member of the She'ar, Fal was killed during an unsuccessful assassination attempt on Ro.[7]

Notes and references[]
- ↑ Star Wars: Timelines dates Starlight Beacon's destruction to 230 BBY. The implementation of the Guardian Protocols, which Star Wars: The High Republic Character Encyclopedia places in 229 BBY, took place one week after Starlight Beacon's fall according to The High Republic: Shadows of Starlight 1. As The High Republic: Temptation of the Force takes place one year and six weeks after the destruction of Starlight Beacon and its events span a few months, its events must be set in 228 BBY.
