An ambush occurred at the Jedi Temple on the planet Ilum against Jedi Master Luminara Unduli and Padawan Barriss Offee by the Separatist Alliance. Four months after the start of the Clone Wars between the Separatists and the Galactic Republic, Unduli temporarily relinquished command of her army to bring Offee to Ilum in a meditation exercise to build Offee's last lightsaber. During the exercise, Separatist chameleon droids attacked and almost destroyed Temple there, burying the two under rubble.^[1]

Offee and Unduli were rescued by Grand Master Yoda. After the ambush, Offee conducted more and more solo missions, working on occasion with her master.^[1]
