Ainlee Teem was a Gran^[2] senator who represented the planet of Malastare in the Galactic Senate during the last decades of the Galactic Republic. When the Trade Federation invaded the planet Naboo, the then-Supreme Chancellor Finis Valorum was voted out of his office. Along with Bail Antilles of Alderaan and Sheev Palpatine of Naboo, Teem was nominated as Valorum's potential successor.^[1] However, Teem's reputation was tainted with suspicions of corruption, and his candidacy was met with general disdain.^[3] Ultimately, it was Palpatine who won the election.^[1]
