Ai-Dan Yelooc was a human^[3] male^[2] Jedi who operated during the High Republic Era. A year after the destruction of Starlight Beacon, Ai-Dan Yelooc served on the Republic Longbeam cruiser Gios and accompanied fellow Jedi Keeve Trennis, Ceret, Terec, and Santar to Ballum to intercept a meeting between Skarabda, chief diplomatic envoy of the Hutt Clan, and the Nihil.^[1] When the encounter there became a battle, Yelooc flew a Jedi Vector starfighter to fight back against the Hutt forces, saving Ceret's life by taking down a Hutt skiff fighter^[3] and proving Yelooc's skill behind the controls of a Vector.^[2] When Nihil leader turned Hutt enforcer Lourna Dee ejected crates full of people while attempting to flee Ballum in the stolen Jedi cruiser Ataraxia, Yelooc used the Force to manuver the people safely into the Gios.^[4]

Ai-Dan Yelooc first appeared in the first issue of Star Wars: The High Republic,^[1] written by Cavan Scott, illustrated by Ario Anindito and Jim Towe, and published by Marvel Comics on November 8, 2023.^[5] The character was created as a tuckerization and homage to Aidan Cooley, who connected with Scott through the Make-A-Wish Foundation with the dream of being transformed into a Jedi.^[2]
