Vines (ツル Tsuru?) is the Quirk used by Ibara Shiozaki.

Description[]

Vines grants the user controllable, thorny vines in place of regular hair.

The vines can be manipulated for various purposes, such as binding foes, snatching objects and creating defensive barriers. They can also be cut off from the head at will, including being tough enough to dig through concrete.

Because her vines don't conduct electricity, Ibara has a natural advantage against Electrification and other electrical based Quirks.[1] Ibara's thorns also appear to be sharp enough to cause abrasion, as seen by the cuts sustained by Denki and Eijiro during the Joint Training Battle,[2] Tetsutetsu needing to steel his arm under her head while carrying her during the Vanguard Action Squad Invasion,[3] and her pretending to be concerned about a scratch on Yui's back caused by her horns.[4]

Weaknesses[]

While tough, the vines are capable of being cut. They also require sunlight and water to further grow.

Ultimate Moves[]

Via Dolorosa Via Dolorosa (ヴィアドロローサ Via Dororōsa?): Ibara shrouds an entire area with her vines, ensnaring anything that comes in contact with them.[5]
Crucifixion Crucifixion (磔刑 (クルセフィクション) Kurusefikushon?): Ibara encloses a captured target with multiple layers of vines, preventing them from attacking.[5]
Faith's Shield (Anime) Faith's Shield (信仰の盾 (フェイスズシールド) Feisuzu Shīrudo?): Ibara sprouts a thick wall of vines to protect herself against enemy attacks.[5]

Trivia[]

  • This Quirk is similar to Arbor, as both involve the manipulation of specific plant matter, which is noted by several characters, including Kamui Woods himself.
