Later that year he sat in with the senior officers and Captain Durango during the mission briefing on the recently discovered ancient generation ship. (LD: "Moist Vessel")

He later attended the party to celebrate Fletcher's promotion to lieutenant. (LD: "Terminal Provocations")

Late the same year, he attended Shaxs' funeral following the Battle of Kalla. (LD: "No Small Parts")

In 2381, Westlake was in sickbay reviewing a PADD next to an empty biobed when Dr. T'Ana entered with the wooden box D'Vana Tendi had brought back for her from Qualor II. (LD: "We'll Always Have Tom Paris")

Late the same year, Dr. T'Ana was overheard, by Ensign D'Vana Tendi, telling Westlake that Tendi wasn't cut out for Medical. He was later in sickbay tending to the injured crew of the USS Archimedes. (LD: "First First Contact")

Ransom, Westlake, Matt and Honus

Ransom and his besties

Along with Honus and Matt, Commander Jack Ransom described Nurse Westlake as one of his "besties". He had a photograph of him along with the other two on his PADD; which showed them hanging out in Cetacean Ops.

In 2381, he rushed to assist in caring for the badly burned Steve Stevens, after Stevens severely burned himself leaning against the warp core. (LD: "Crisis Point 2: Paradoxus")

Later that year, he later explained to Captain Freeman how T'Illups had fallen victim to a transporter accident that affected them at a sub-cellular level, in a phenomenon known as being "Tuvixed". Later, he would be abducted by Shabarnes as one of subjects in T'Illups Tuvix army, and was to be combined with Jennifer Sh'reyan, but instead became merged into a "Tuvix-y meatball" with several other crewmembers. He was later restored by Ensigns Tendi and T'Lyn, and thereafter promoted to commander, when he walked through sickbay with a tricorder and the other former Tuvixed crew recovered. He later attended the promotion ceremony for Lieutenants Mariner, Boimler, Tendi, and T'Lyn. (LD: "Twovix")
