DSC 23 was the registry number for a modified 23rd century Federation Class C shuttlecraft attached to the USS Discovery.
In 2257, DSC 23 was utilized by Spock as he followed Michael Burnham away from the battle near Xahea as she prepped to launch in the Red Angel suit. While they rested on a piece of debris, the shuttle was damaged by a stray torpedo, and had to be abandoned. (DIS: "Such Sweet Sorrow, Part 2")
