DSC 06 was the registry number of a 23rd century Federation Class C shuttlecraft attached to the USS Discovery.
In 2257, Commander Michael Burnham took DSC 06 to the home of Sarek and Amanda Grayson on Vulcan in an attempt to locate a fugitive Spock. After discovering Spock in the family crypt, Burnham ferried him to NCIA-93 to seek treatment for him, but was forced to flee after being warned by Philippa Georgiou of Section 31's plans. Hiding DSC 06 inside an asteroid field, Burnham realized Spock had given her a set of coordinates and set course for Talos IV. (DIS: "Light and Shadows")
Taking DSC 06 through an illusory black hole, Burnham landed on the surface of Talos IV. Leaving DSC 06 to explore the nearby area, Burnham returned to find Vina aboard the shuttle. With the help of the Talosians, Burnham and Spock returned to the USS Discovery aboard DSC 06. (DIS: "If Memory Serves")
