In a sequential monadic test, respondents are presented with two or more concepts in an isolated environment. The concepts are presented in a random order to avoid order bias. Each concept is followed by the same series of questions to determine in-depth insights about each of the concepts.

Pros and cons to sequential monadic testing
Link Copied
Pros:
Since each respondent is shown at least two concepts, the required sample size goes down, making the research more cost-effective.
Since you require fewer respondents, this method is more suitable for researching niche markets.
Fewer respondents also mean less time is needed to field the survey and collect data.
Cons:
Presenting multiple concepts at a time increases the survey's length, which affects the completion rate of the survey and introduces the risk of nonresponse bias to your research.
The research may also be at risk of order bias unless the order of the concept is appropriately randomized.
