I am proud to announce that BCG has been named a Leader in Innovation Consulting Services by Forrester, an independent research firm that assesses top vendors in the market. The report recognizes BCG for its “multidisciplinary innovation practice with deep data and accelerator assets” and its “ability to create C-suite alignment, applying rigorous innovation measurement and providing sector-specific innovation talent.” In Forrester’s assessment, BCG was the only vendor to receive the highest possible score (5.00) in the ‘Approach: Innovation Thought Leadership’ criterion. In particular, Forrester cited BCG’s Center for Growth and Innovation Analytics (GIA) and BCG’s flagship Most Innovative Companies report, which evaluates and explains the state of corporate innovation and has been published annually since 2005. CMOs remain very optimistic about the promise of GenAI, as Exhibit 1 shows. In the year since our previous survey in April 2023, however, their expectations have shifted from wide-eyed to pragmatic. They have identified the operational areas where they can scale GenAI initiatives rapidly and which initiatives will take longer to scale. They have learned firsthand where they can automate certain tasks to achieve step-change improvements in efficiency—and where human intervention will remain essential.
