Ziravi Chant was a Devaronian artist during the High Republic Era. She specialized in poison pigments, creating paintings that were required to be placed under carefully modulated energy shields that purified the air without distorting the color and texture of the art. Chant was an associate of the pirate leader Maz Kanata, occasionally hiding messages in the chemical composition of her paintings; as nobody tended to get close to the toxic artwork, she avoided being caught. When Jordanna Sparkburn and Sylvestri Yarrow, who were working for Kanata, wished to get inside an elite gathering held by Ghirra Starros on Hosnian Prime in order to find Xylan Graf, they learned Chant was among the attendees and reached out to the Devaronian through Kanata. Chant agreed to provide them entry as part of her outfit, dressing the pair up in elaborate costumes. Although the security at the event did not want the pair to enter, Chant played up her arrogance as an artist, forcing the security to let Sparkburn and Yarrow inside.^[1]
