Zallo was a location. During the High Republic Era, the team of Ghal Tarpfen—the chief of security for the Galactic Republic space station Starlight Beacon—intercepted intel that the Nihil pirates were massing in the Soola system. During a meeting aboard the station^[1] in 231 BBY^[2] Marshal Avar Kriss argued with Jedi High Council member Stellan Gios over whether the Jedi Order should immediately follow up on the lead. During the argument, Kriss noted that the Jedi's response to the Nihil had not been enough, and that^[1] she^[3] wanted to follow up on Tarpfen's lead by sending a team to Zallo. Gios turned down the marshal's request, and ordered her and the rest of the Jedi stationed on Starlight to wait for further instructions.^[1]

Zallo was mentioned in flashbacks in the ninth issue of the 2021 comic series Star Wars: The High Republic, released as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's^[1] Phase I.^[4] The issue was written by Cavan Scott and published by Marvel Comics on September 1, 2021.^[5]
