- "I'm sorry, I'm confused here. Are you a security chief or a social worker?"
- ―Lourna Dee, to Ghal Tarpfen
Chief of Security, or Security Chief[2] was a title given to individuals responsible for the security and defense of locations that were of importance. Battlemaster Cin Drallig was the Chief of Security for the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.[4] By 3 BBY,[7] Captain Garazeb Orrelios served as Chief of Security for Phoenix Cell's Chopper Base on the planet Atollon.[8] In 18 BBY,[9] Gial Ackbar was the Chief of Security for King Lee-Char.[5]
The Mon Calamari Ghal Tarpfen served as Chief of Security of the space station Starlight Beacon during the High Republic era.[6]
