"The Empire is eating its own."
"Yes. The loyalists have gone to war with the breakaway factions—civilians caught in the crossfire be damned."
Chass na Chadic and Hera Syndulla[1]

The Yomo Council was a faction that broke away from the Galactic Empire, operating in the aftermath of Operation: Cinder. It was based at Fedovoi End, which held half a million troops and their families. The Yomo Council committed a number of actions that the loyalists of the Empire saw as treasonous, including not acknowledging the supposed Imperial regent on Coruscant, refusing to follow orders from Grand Admiral Rae Sloane to direct assets to the D'Aelgoth sector, and allying with the Shiortuun Syndicate. As a result, the 204th Imperial Fighter Wing, led by Colonel Soran Keize, attacked the Yomo Council's forces at Fedovoi End.[1]

  2. The events of Victory's Price begin after the Cerberon system campaign, and the novel also features the Battle of Jakku at the end of its three main sections. Since Star Wars: Timelines dates both of those conflicts to 5 ABY, the main events of Victory's Price must therefore be set in that year. Furthermore, the destruction of Fedovoi End and the Yomo Council must also be set in 5 ABY.
