The Xi'Dec were an insectoid sentient species found in the galaxy. Ubbla Mollbro, a female opera singer with engorged egg sacs, was a member of this species.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
In Star Wars Legends, the Xi'Dec were first described in Galaxy Guide 4: Alien Races, a supplement for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game written by Troy Denning and published by West End Games in 1989.[2] The species was made canon when it appeared in the sequel trilogy film Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi, released on December 15, 2017.[3]
In Legends, the Xi'Dec had at least 180 different sexes and reproduced in a variety of different ways.[2] It is currently unknown if this is also true for canon Xi'Dec or if they all share Ubbla's biology and reproduce through eggs.[1]
