The Wookiee pistol,^[1] also known as the Kashyyyk Pistol,^[2] was a blaster pistol manufactured and used by the Wookiees of Kashyyyk. It had a lot of design similarities with the Wookiee projectile rifle, including its bronzium frame. It was characterized by its short range.^[1]

In 19 BBY, towards the end of the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems,^[4] the Wookiee pistol was used by the Wookiee Army's Wookiee warriors during the battle on their homeworld.^[3]

Behind the scenes[]

The Wookiee pistol first appeared, albeit unnamed, in Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith.^[3] It was first identified as the Kashyyyk Pistol in Fantasy Flight Games' Wookiee Warriors Unit Expansion for their Star Wars: Legion board game, which released on December 20, 2018.^[2] It was later named the Wookiee pistol in Altaya's "Blasters and Ranged Weapons" reference book, released exclusively in France on February 23, 2021.^[1]
